This Wednesday we have a lovely poem by Peregrin Jones. For me this sums up the act of soul-searching and learning to be content in ourselves. The Being Verse So here we are, Where we belong. To where we've journeyed, All along. And there is dusk, Behind us dawn. Somewhere between, We are torn. Here are friends, And there are foes. Enforcing joys, And granting woes. Sometimes we laugh, Sometimes we cry. Sometimes we stop, And wonder why? But what answer, Should we receive? To chase the tale, Which we perceive. What needs a reason? When here is life. Requite with love, And all such strife. We can't but dream, As we choose to breathe. There's always time, In which to leave. But while we're here, Alone in crowds. Down from the tree's, Above the clouds. Could we not be? Without consent. Simply ourselves, And in that, content.
